My breeder, Eleanor, gave me a purple bag of gifts to take to my new home.
I didn't know that dogs got presents, but I think I could used to that!
In my gift bag there was:
my cuddly doggy (this had been living with my dog family so that I could still smell them even though I couldn't see them or feel them)
two play toys, a ball with a bell inside and a blue squeaky octopus (I chose these - they were my favourite play toys)
a tin of my favourite wet dog food
a bag of dry food
a bag of puppy treats (I think these should be called poochy lollies - I love them and am happy to be a good girl so I get lots of them)
a pink blanket to cuddle up in
my official paper work that makes me a legal dog. I even have a little microchip under my skin with a special number on it.
Going to my new home
My home 'limo'.
My breeder Eleanor brought my poochy Mum Penny out to the car so I could kiss her goodbye. Aunty H drove the car while my human 'Mum' held onto me.
I was really nervous and a little scared and I had a cry on the way home. The humans were really nice to me, but I was already missing my family. I think I made the humans really sad, but I couldn't stop crying.
The cuddles made the trip a bit easier.
My new jacket
That nice man at PetStock fitted me out.
My human 'Mum' and 'Dad' thought I looked really cold during the days outdoors at my new home. So they brought me a new jacket. 'Dad' said he didn't want a pink one.
I thought I looked even cuter in pink!
Oops a Little Accident!
I was so nervous to be at my new home and I didn't know where the toilet was and I made a couple of messes. My new Mum was very understanding and didn't make a fuss. She said that I would learn how to hold on until I went outside and that I would even learn to go on command!
I thought that would be great to learn that trick.
A Pooch MUST have a safe place to play
My family wanted me to have a safe place to play outside. They spent time checking all the fences to see that there were no holes. They also placed safety wire along a wall that had holes in it that I could have squeezed through if I had wanted to escape and runaway. I am now learning to go outside for short periods of time by myself to learn to play in my new yard.
Peppa's Poochy Kennel Cushion
Peppa snuggles into the cushion for a test run.
My human 'Mum' made me a special cushion for my kennel at work. I had been feeling a bit cold there during the first week and she was worried about me. I felt like I had all my friends with me because it was covered in dogs. I tried to count each one, but I kept getting mixed up.
